Mobile apps people keep on their home screen.
A good app earns its place on someone's phone by making a frequent task faster: booking, ordering, checking in, tracking or paying. We design and build apps for iOS and Android, and progressive web apps where an app store isn't needed.
Start a ProjectWho it’s for
- Businesses with customers who interact with them every week
- Founders with an app-led product idea
- Teams who work in the field and need tools that work on a phone
- Organisations with an existing app that needs rebuilding
Problems we solve
- Customers have to log in to a website on their phone every time.
- A native or installable app keeps people signed in, sends useful notifications and makes repeat tasks a couple of taps.
- Field staff fill in paper forms and type them up later.
- A mobile tool with offline support, photos and signatures that syncs when there's signal.
- Building separately for iOS and Android sounds expensive.
- We usually build with a cross-platform approach so one codebase serves both, and we'll recommend native development only when the product needs it.
Typical features and deliverables

- iOS and Android app or progressive web app
- Back end and admin tools
- Notifications and payments as required
Release
- App store preparation and submission support
- Beta testing
- Crash reporting and analytics, if you want it
Every project is scoped individually, so deliverables are confirmed in your proposal.

Fixture
An app for grassroots sports clubs to manage availability, team selection and subscriptions.
- The problem
- Volunteer coaches chase availability through group chats, pick teams from memory and collect subs in cash. Information is scattered, and the same few people do all the admin.
- Key features
- One-tap availability, Team selection, Subs and payments, Club admin
- Intended benefit
- Less chasing for volunteers, clearer communication for players and parents, and a simpler way for clubs to collect fees.
How we deliver it
- Stage 1
Define
We focus the first release on the one or two jobs the app must do brilliantly.
- Stage 2
Prototype
A tappable prototype on your own phone, so you can feel the flow before it's built.
- Stage 3
Build and test
Regular test builds you can install, plus a beta with real users before release.
- Stage 4
Release and improve
App store submission support, then improvements based on how people use it.
Questions about mobile app development
Do I need a native app or would a web app work?
It depends on how often people will use it and whether you need features like offline use, notifications or device hardware. We'll recommend an approach during discovery and explain the trade-offs.
Can you guarantee the app will be approved by Apple and Google?
No one can guarantee approval, because the decision rests with Apple and Google. We build to their published guidelines and support you through submission and any feedback.
Who owns the app store listings?
We recommend the apps are published under developer accounts in your business's name. Ownership arrangements are confirmed in the proposal and agreement.
