Harbour & Pine
A website for a bespoke joinery workshop that turns browsing into well-qualified enquiries.
The business problem
Bespoke joiners often get enquiries that are a poor fit: jobs too small, budgets far from realistic, or no detail on what's wanted. Each one takes time to answer, and the good enquiries get lost among them.
The proposed product
A portfolio-led website where each piece of work shows the room, the materials and the typical lead time. A guided enquiry form asks for room type, rough dimensions, photos and a budget band before anything is sent, so the workshop can reply with something useful.
Key features
- Project gallery by room
- Kitchens, wardrobes, staircases and alcoves, each with materials and process notes rather than just photos.
- Guided enquiry
- A short, step-by-step form that collects the details the workshop needs to give a first answer.
- Lead time indicator
- A simple, editable message showing how far ahead the workshop is booked, set from the content system.
- Fast, image-heavy pages
- Responsive images sized for each screen so a photo-rich site still loads quickly on mobile data.
Design decisions
- Budget bands, not a price list
- Bespoke work can't be priced upfront, but asking for a range early filters mismatches politely.
- Photos before words
- Joinery is bought with the eyes. Copy explains process and materials, but the work leads.
Intended business benefit
Fewer back-and-forth emails, better information in each enquiry, and a site that represents the craftsmanship accurately. The intention is to spend less time on unsuitable leads and more on the right ones.
This is a concept. It has not been built for or measured with a client.
